EN: Connie Phlipot, a retired U.S. diplomat,  recently completed her first novel, Evening Bell, the story of a Belarusan immigrant family in the U.S. at the beginning of the 20th century.  She is currently working on a novel that draws upon her fascination with and vast experiences in Eastern Europe.
